Backyard Birthday Soiree

If you are anything like Ashley and I, you will probably agree that birthdays are the best. We love having all of our favorite people together, celebrating, eating good food and also cake! One of the incredible perks of living back to back is the ability host parties together and we wanted to give you all a little peek of the backyard party we threw this weekend for my 29th birthday!

I wrote in my 30 Before 30 post that I wanted to host a backyard dinner party! Although this may not have included a sit down meal at the table, I would definitely consider this party a check on my list! We served some of my favorite things cheese, charcuterie and of course confetti cake! We also made a craft cocktail for the evening, a Paloma, recipe here. I'm also pretty sure that checks off another item on my list!

The weather this weekend was absolutely incredible and perfect for an evening outside with our friends. We played some giant jenga, cornhole, washers and most of the girls found ourselves sipping yummy drinks around the firepit. I don't think I could have dreamed up a more perfect evening.

I hope this little party can serve as some inspiration for your next backyard event with your loved ones and friends. We bought nearly all the food and the flowers from Trader Joes, you really can't go wrong with that place!

All of these incredible photos were taken by our talented friend Caitlin Wilson.
