Why did you want to start this blog?

The blog for me was never something I had thought of or envisioned myself doing.  Ashley and I love doing things together and we both are in a season of stepping outside of our comfort zones in a new season of life. I’m thankful we get to live our life together and have accountability not only as sister in law’s but also as neighbors and friends. The blog for me is an opportunity to work on a project together to share our lives in a genuine way and to share things that we are loving like a new clean eating recipe, a pair of workout leggings, or for women to feel encouraged by Scripture that has been an encouragement to us lately.

Beach or mountains?

This is the HARDEST question of all time. I think I am really longing for a beach vacation, however I think my final answer is Mountains. I don’t see how anyone can look at the mountains and doubt God’s goodness and faithfulness.  I feel most at peace when I am in the mountains surrounded by tall trees. Why do I live in Texas again?

What is your love language?

If you want to know the way to love me best it is to spend lots of quality hours with me and to tell me how much you love me. In all seriousness I feel most loved when I get to spend quality time with the people I love.  I love to be able to spend time with my loved ones on vacations away from distractions and the busyness of life at home and also just to spend time going on dates with Kyle. Also words of affirmation are super important to me, I flourish in relationships that are encouraging and that let me know that what I am doing is making an impact in that person’s life.

What is your favorite thing about your husband?

I could make a joke and just say I love how he moves on the dance floor, but maybe that’s not the most meaningful answer. Although, I will say his dance moves are what made me take first take notice. On a more serious note, I love how passionate Kyle is about the things that are important to him, and that whatever situation he is in whether it’s at church, at work, hanging out with friends or just with me at home he is all there.  If you know Kyle, you love Kyle. He truly radiates the love of Christ to those he comes in contact with and I think it’s what draws people to him.

What are three PODCASTS you always recommend?

.... Ok, I know that’s four, but they are all so good!

What do you love about living back to back?

I don’t think I can choose one thing specifically. I love the convenience of having our best friends literally in our backyard. I love always having something to do something, who are always down to play a game or go to the neighborhood pool, or work out with.

What is your biggest pet peeve?

Slow drivers, slow turners, and slow traffic can make me feel like my blood pressure is going through the roof (side-note: I'm really working on patience). Also, something that I value in a person is promptness. I am frustrated by people that are chronically late, which might be because I spent my high school years in drill team and having the idea drilled into me that you’re not 15 minutes early, you are late.
