Our Favorite Summer Cocktails (and mocktails!)

We are in full on summer mode over here. We are making weekly and sometimes daily trips to the pool, firing up the grill for backyard eating, and also loving all things cold like sno cones, popsicles and even those yummy summer cocktails. Today we are sharing some of our favorite cocktails and mocktails (for me!). I will say some of these cocktails aren’t exactly paleo friendly, but they definitely are delicious and you will find us sipping on these all summer long.

Grapefruit Paloma

I am a huge fan of grapefruit cocktails, and anything citrus is just a great choice for the summer as it is super refreshing! We made this one for my birthday party when I first found out I was pregnant and it was just as yummy without the tequila!

Against All Grain Paleo Margarita

We posted this recipe in our Cinco De Paleo blog post, linked above! If you are like us and looking to keep up with your health and fitness goals this summer, this cocktail is perfect! This drink is a staple for us, and you can never have too many limes laying around!

Watermelon Frose

My favorite drink I discovered last year was frose! We are big fans of rose, but when I found out I could drink it frozen like a slush and I was all about that.  Summer isn't complete without watermelon and if you can mix it with your favorite rose, I think that's a summer dream come true!

Blueberry Lemon Moscow Mule

Moscow mules might be the most refreshing drinks in my book, especially when they are served in a copper mug, which keeps them extra cold. We have a restaurant in Fort Worth called HG Sply Co, that makes frozen moscow mules and they are absolutely our favorite summer or really any time of year cocktail. You can make this recipe however from home using a blueberry lemon simple syrup, and it just sounds so delicious. I plan on making it a mocktail, by subbing the vodka for club soda!

I'd love to know some of your favorite summer cocktails or mocktails! Hope you stay cool this summer in the heat, and hopefully one of these cocktails (and lots of water too!) will help cool you down!
