It’s [almost] fall and even though it doesn’t feel like it in Texas, you better believe we have pulled out our fall decor and are burning fall candles around the clock! We got a request to feature our favorite fall candles & so your wish is our command!
If you follow us on Instagram, you know that at the end of August, we (and our husbands) took a vacation to 30A! It was a baby moon for Kyle & Sarah and a 30th birthday trip for me (and also secretly kind of a baby moon for Trey and I, but we hadn’t announced yet)!
This fall is bringing about all sorts of new changes. Fall is hands down my favorite season of the entire year, and I am thrilled to be welcoming our first baby this fall. Some of you may know that over the last two and a half years I have been a personal trainer with Camp Gladiator, but this fall I’ve decided to step down as a trainer with CG.
Kyle always says that he never understands why we didn't create a Simply Brothers Co blog. He is convinced that Trey and himself would have more subscribers than we do, so I decided to let him share a little bit about himself today.
I can hardly believe that I am already in the third trimester with our baby girl! After the first trimester this pregnancy has absolutely flown by and I can’t believe we are less than 3 months from meeting our baby. Today, I wanted to take some time to share with you all some updates on how the last few weeks of pregnancy have been, to reveal our baby girl’s name and then to share a couple of my favorite items so far!
Let me let y’all in on a little secret, I happen to love sleeping and I'm actually pretty darn good at it! Kyle and I laugh about it all the time, because it takes him forever to fall asleep at night, but I am usually out by the time my head hits the pillow.
We’re baaaaack from our summer break & we know many of you are starting to gear up for new beginnings now that August is here! As many of us are starting to get back into routines, we thought we would share some of our daily or weekly rituals that help us get back into the swing of things after some time away!
It feels like Christmas morning because the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is here!
This is by far our favorite sale of the year! The anniversary sale is unlike any other because it is not marking down items that are currently being sold in Nordstrom, it is offering items for the upcoming season at a discount!
Somehow I am already at the halfway mark with baby girl, and I’m not even sure how it flew by this quickly! I wanted to share a 20 week bumpdate, but I may have missed the deadline because I am now 22 weeks!
We moved into our houses a year and a half ago, started the home buying process about two years ago, & knew we would be living in Fort Worth long-term about four years ago. Throughout that time & especially once we knew where we would be living, we have been praying consistently for one thing.
Sitting on our back porch is one of our very favorite ways to unwind after a long day. As soon as the temperatures warm up, that's where you'll find us (until it's too unbearably hot to sit out there, but usually it cools down enough at night).
Trying to be healthy always feels like a “thing”, doesn’t it? Since it usually feels like a burden, an added duty, an extra, and something that deviates from our normal, we find ourselves at odds with our efforts and deem it too complicated and unrealistic.
It's hard to believe, but Fourth of July is almost upon us! Can you believe it? In order to help you prep your Fourth of July outfit, we wanted to share a few of our favorite items to get you looking & feeling festive!
Is it just me, or did the first half of the year fly by at a million miles per hour?! I feel like we just sat down and wrote out our New Year's resolutions and intentions, and now all of a sudden it’s June 13th and I am wondering how we got here so quickly. Since we are halfway through the year, I wanted to take some time to reflect on the first half of the year and to check in with some of the intentions I had for 2018.
Summer time is in full swing and the heat is here to stay! We are sharing some of our favorite cocktails and mocktails that we will be sipping on this summer, and hope they will inspire you to create some fun ones as well.
Father's Day is just a couple weeks away & we wanted to help you get a jump start on your shopping! Is it just us or are guys super hard to shop for? We're both always struggling to find the perfect gift for Trey & Kyle but we are very pleased to say that every gift on this list is approved by them.
While we aren't the most thrilled that the triple digits are already a regular thing this early in June, we are excited for some of our favorite summer things -- hitting the pool, grilling out, setting up kiddie pools in our backyards, and spending lots of nights on our back porches (with fans at full blast)!
Four years ago today I stood across from my (super attractive) best friend and vowed to love him for the rest of our lives. I meant every word that I said, but like any person who has been married for any length of time will tell you, I had no idea what I was saying or what I was signing up for, but boy, am I glad I made those vows.
Did you know that May is actually national skin cancer awareness month? I found out about this only about 2 days ago, but it seems like a perfect time to tell you all about our favorite sunscreens and the products that we will be lathering up with all summer long.
It’s not an easy thing to tell a loved one who is walking through infertility that you are pregnant. Especially when you know that they are most likely being bombarded with constant pregnancy announcements on social media. You can feel as though you are just going to be another person adding to the pain and that is not a great feeling to have.
We loved sharing some of our favorite books that we have been reading, and the books that we are looking forward to reading in the next couple months and we decided today to share with you another list of books that we are loving--cookbooks!
Last month, Ashley and I had the opportunity to attend Sparrow Conference at the Music Hall at Fair Park. We had gone to Sparrow conference in 2017 and we both agreed it was our favorite women’s conference we had been to. This year we knew it would be no different and we were both excited for how God was going to move through Sparrow.
As Texans, it's pretty much mandatory that we celebrate Cinco de Mayo. Well, maybe it's not mandatory, but it's definitely a holiday that we love to celebrate. Let's face it, any excuse to eat our body weights in chips & salsa is great with us!
From Spurgeon, to Grand Jerry, to me, this book is a legacy of faith for my family, but it strikes me how much more the Bible itself echoes the faith of our Christian brothers and sisters throughout all redemptive history.
Simply Sisters Co. was born out of a desire to share what’s going on, what we are learning, and what we are loving in an authentic way that would serve as an encouragement to other women as they strive to live well in all areas of their lives
