Thanksgiving is in exactly one week which means we are getting very close to the season of Advent! While we will be focusing on Thanksgiving, we wanted to go ahead and share a few recommendations for Advent resources so that you can get them ordered before Advent begins!
Listen, we get it. This time of year is completely nuts & you barely have time to keep up with Halloween, prepping for Thanksgiving, (and if you’re anything like us) getting ready for Christmas! You hardly have time to fit it all in so you definitely don’t have time to spend perusing for the perfect sweater for fall.
We are in the final countdown for Conley’s arrival & will be sharing her nursery reveal on the blog soon, however, Collins’s nursery will be a work in progress over the next several months so I thought I would just share a little bit of a sneak peak into the inspiration behind it in the meantime!
I can’t even believe that I have a bag under the desk in my bedroom that I’m taking to the hospital when I go into labor. It seems a little surreal that the time is actually almost here, and that before we know it we will be on our way to the hospital to meet our baby! I am now 37 weeks and a couple days, and after this week I feel like it truly could be any day, so I am preparing myself by trying to keep the house clean and keeping a bag for Kyle and I packed so that we are ready to go.
In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness month, we felt that it was extremely important to share a survivor’s story. This story was originally told on Kat Armstrong’s blog as a part of her #METOO series & is being re-shared here with permission from the author.
I don’t know about you, but the summer to fall transition is the hardest living in the great state of Texas. Fall and winter clothes are my absolute favorites, so as soon as they bust out the PSL, I am ready for boots and oversized sweaters, BUT the weather is just not quite there yet.
Although our shower was a couple weeks ago, I am still reflecting on just how special that day really was to me. I wanted to share with you all the beauty that was my shower and also just share my thankfulness to everyone who has been loving on me and my baby girl so well and supporting our little family.
Sometimes I honestly just don’t feel like reading my Bible. Anyone else? I have a sneaking suspicion that I am not alone in this, but I do feel like it’s something we might feel a little bit ashamed to admit at times.
It’s [almost] fall and even though it doesn’t feel like it in Texas, you better believe we have pulled out our fall decor and are burning fall candles around the clock! We got a request to feature our favorite fall candles & so your wish is our command!
If you follow us on Instagram, you know that at the end of August, we (and our husbands) took a vacation to 30A! It was a baby moon for Kyle & Sarah and a 30th birthday trip for me (and also secretly kind of a baby moon for Trey and I, but we hadn’t announced yet)!
This fall is bringing about all sorts of new changes. Fall is hands down my favorite season of the entire year, and I am thrilled to be welcoming our first baby this fall. Some of you may know that over the last two and a half years I have been a personal trainer with Camp Gladiator, but this fall I’ve decided to step down as a trainer with CG.
Kyle always says that he never understands why we didn't create a Simply Brothers Co blog. He is convinced that Trey and himself would have more subscribers than we do, so I decided to let him share a little bit about himself today.
I can hardly believe that I am already in the third trimester with our baby girl! After the first trimester this pregnancy has absolutely flown by and I can’t believe we are less than 3 months from meeting our baby. Today, I wanted to take some time to share with you all some updates on how the last few weeks of pregnancy have been, to reveal our baby girl’s name and then to share a couple of my favorite items so far!
Let me let y’all in on a little secret, I happen to love sleeping and I'm actually pretty darn good at it! Kyle and I laugh about it all the time, because it takes him forever to fall asleep at night, but I am usually out by the time my head hits the pillow.
We’re baaaaack from our summer break & we know many of you are starting to gear up for new beginnings now that August is here! As many of us are starting to get back into routines, we thought we would share some of our daily or weekly rituals that help us get back into the swing of things after some time away!
It feels like Christmas morning because the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is here!
This is by far our favorite sale of the year! The anniversary sale is unlike any other because it is not marking down items that are currently being sold in Nordstrom, it is offering items for the upcoming season at a discount!
Somehow I am already at the halfway mark with baby girl, and I’m not even sure how it flew by this quickly! I wanted to share a 20 week bumpdate, but I may have missed the deadline because I am now 22 weeks!
We moved into our houses a year and a half ago, started the home buying process about two years ago, & knew we would be living in Fort Worth long-term about four years ago. Throughout that time & especially once we knew where we would be living, we have been praying consistently for one thing.
Sitting on our back porch is one of our very favorite ways to unwind after a long day. As soon as the temperatures warm up, that's where you'll find us (until it's too unbearably hot to sit out there, but usually it cools down enough at night).
Trying to be healthy always feels like a “thing”, doesn’t it? Since it usually feels like a burden, an added duty, an extra, and something that deviates from our normal, we find ourselves at odds with our efforts and deem it too complicated and unrealistic.
Simply Sisters Co. was born out of a desire to share what’s going on, what we are learning, and what we are loving in an authentic way that would serve as an encouragement to other women as they strive to live well in all areas of their lives
